• Miss Marcy's teaching skills have proven to be elite, via her outstanding credentials and years of experience teaching highly gifted children. Her background with the music conservatory, Manhattan School of Music, as well as the music conservatory, Hartt College of music, and her performance skills and conservatory skills obtained at New York University Steinhart School of Performing Arts has enabled her to excel in her teaching methodology's and philosophy of teaching classical music performance, music literacy, and music theory. Lorena Havill, of the Manhattan School of Music began training Miss Marcy at the age of 13 until she went to NYU at age 17. Miss Havill is the master who literally wrote the foundational pedagogy textbooks on sight-reading and keyboard musicianship. At the age of 17 Miss Marcy went on to NYU as a piano performance major and studied under the direction and as the 'mentee' of the acclaimed Dr. Lawrence Ferrara, Professor of Music and Director Emeritus of Music and Performing Arts at NYU Steinhart. Dr Ferrara is renowned as one of the world's "fiercest" and most analytical musicologists and legendary keyboard instructors.

Miss Marcy studied at NYU under his protégé and mentee, Fran Arnowitz, a professional musician and educator who taught on the music faculties at New York University (NYU), with her intense knowledge and understanding and teaching abilities in her formal studies in Dalcroze Eurhythmics, and the Dalcroze method (which pairs movement with musical sound and rhythm) which remains a staple kinesthetic approach taught by specialized educators in New York and across North America. Dalcroze Embodied Rhythm uses whole-body movement to feel and internalize rhythm, phrasing, and musical dynamics before translating them onto an instrument.
